Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett said he'd contribute more than 80 percent to charitable foundations. In 2020, he increased the number to a whopping 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was the primary beneficiary. It was created by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder as well as his wife Melinda. They were focused on education and world health. Bill and Buffett have been friends since the early 1990s. Other organizations that received donations included those run by Buffett's 3 children and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, named for his late wife, which was focused on women's reproductive rights and funded college scholarship programs. The Giving Pledge was an invitation for wealthy individuals to contribute a large percentage of their wealth to charities, created by Buffett and Gates back in 2010.
